Oh yes. But it is. To life. And it’s little little portions thereof.

And as far as the name of mine blog is concerned…it’s a long explanation. Too long for a comment box anyway. Anyway, last time I gave an explanation about it, the girl told me to go and patent it under the “sure fire cure for insomniacs” category. Now I wouldn’t want you to fall asleep at your console now, would i? for now, it would suffice to say that “bekku” is the Kannada word for Cat. And Schrödinger’s Cat, as we all know is famous thought experiment in quantum mechanics, an illustration to show the principle of superposition of states, something our man Erwin came up with to exemplify the isea of the collapse of the wave function in quantum theory, etc. etc.

adu gothu adhre wat is the connection? do u feel like schrodingers bekku??
and if u can put the collapse of wave fumctiom bit in simple terms n mail it i wud b grateful cos i don c how the cat can b in two states at one time unless u r in a state wher u aren aware of the state of the cat and therefore r using probability to the whole thing!!!!!!!!!

there! you got it right. it is just that, simply put, the observor is not aware of what state the cat is in. Only if he opens the box will he know, whether the cat is dead or alive, which again is dependant on the killer substance decaying. things get complicated from here onwards.

and as to me feeling like Schrödinger’s Cat, no i don't. but theBekku (mine blog) does, and is. thusly me and theBekku, while being a reflection or implication of one another, are two distinct identities (or not) depending on the observor, the reader. things get complicated from here onwards.

really. this should suffice.
and any further questions or queries in this regard will be answered/explained in person only, and that too in an over-elaborate manner and in excruciating detail. now, i hope that sounds enough like a threat, or forbidding enough, for you not to ask any further :l

Wish people would stop throwing Luhrman's stupid 'Sunscreen' lyrics at innocent by-standers. How trite. How maudlin. How mainstream. Congratulations.

Shenoy said...

hey anony-mouse, you got that right. trite. maudlin. mainstream, that's me. you missed hackneyed, banal and plebeian.

anyways this is my blog last time i checked and i will bloody well throw whatever i want at that one hapless reader who's still reading blog regularly, once a month.

so take your wishes elsewhere. i don't need you. and i'm not "people". there are a hundred million better blogs than mine that you can innocently bystand at without getting your upper-crust sensibilities assaulted by one such as myself. but since you wished, i will ask what alternative would you suggest?

cheers matey! and now if you will excuse me i need to get back to my commonplace, mainstream life.

Tch, you sound hurt.

Good to see you love your little comfort zone.

Shenoy said...

you ain't seen me sounding hurt yet. dunno my threshhold yet, but it's definitely more than some random comment on theBekku...and your judgement and pronouncement thereof.

Comfort zone. Yes. But one small mistake. You used the singular.

and anyway, look who's talking? an anony-mouse who's warm and judgemental in the cozy comfort of Anonymity. *sigh*
